Takii has been methodically and cautiously working for years to introduce its rootstocks in the European high-tech cultivation sector. Through a collaboration with a prestigious Dutch co-operative, tomato growers have been conducting successful trials with Takii's Radar rootstock for three years. Due to its exceptional performance, an expanded trial of Radar is being undertaken to gather additional data and acquaint more tomato growers with one of Takii's promising rootstocks.
Stable Growth, even as light levels drop
Radar exhibits extremely stable growth characteristics throughout its growth cycle. The variety has been bred with a focus to maintain stability, beginning steadily, ascending consistently to its peak in cultivation before descending steadily when the light intensity decreases. In the diminishing light of the autumn months, Radar maintains a more stable performance when compared to other commercially available rootstock varieties. Yield decreases only gradually, which is attributed to the resilience of the rootstock.
